Mosna Eco Museum: A Founding Member of the Sibiu County Ecomuseum

We aim to promote sustainable economic and social development, as well as the protection of heritage and improvement of quality of life and of the environment.

The villages of Saliste, Gura Raului, Biertan, Valea Viilor and Sasaus have agreed to establish the Association of the Sibiu County Ecomuseum and to establish and to accede to the Charter of the Sibiu County Ecomuseum.

Our communal goals are:

• To preserve folk traditions and customs.
• To establish a favourable environment for conducting research and informing the local community, as well as tourists.
• To publish information on the project.
• To cooperate with similar local, national or international organizations promoting similar principles and values.
• To carry out local and regional development projects in order to identify extra budgetary financial resources.
• To establish a high quality agro-tourism network, in accordance with the aims of the Ecomuseum;
• To involve local communities in the protection of local heritage.
• To support other actions or initiatives within the scope of the association.
